Engine details: |
I was told the original engine was a 327 300 horsepower. Current engine is not the original one, but is a 327 300 hp as well. |
Other details: |
Transmission is a Muncie 4-speed, but it is not the original one. The rear axle code is AK, 3.36 ratio. The rear axle is the original as far as I can tell. |

Car history: |
The car was originally delivered to Perry Smoak Chevrolet in Farmington, New Mexico. It came to California sometime between 1963 and 1969 as it has California black plates. I purchased the car as a basket case in August of 2000. It had been wrecked and poorly repaired using 1966 Corvette parts (front-end fiberglass, a front section of the frame, engine, and transmission). I did a body-off-the-frame restoration that took me the better part of 16 years. The car was originally Nassau Blue (900FF) with blue and white vinyl interior (940AA), but I changed it to black with red interior in memory of a 1961 Corvette I drove in high school. |
